巴為雅 Vera Bastos

 與父母一樣，巴慧雅也是生於澳門。她的祖父母繼承了西班牙的血統，外祖父母則繼承了葡萄牙北部的血統。十八歲前，她一直住在澳門，並於聖羅撒英文學校就讀小學，其後在利宵中學就讀中學。她一直對音樂充滿熱情，並因此受邀在各種公開和私人活動中演唱，然而她從小就知道自己的天職是法律，因為她經常聽到別人說她 「舌尖上總是有答案」。 

中學畢業後，巴慧雅前往波爾圖大學供讀法律系 (FDUP)，其後加入葡萄牙律師協會和於波爾圖的一家律師事務所實習。在波爾圖工作了 16 年之後，她回到了自己的家鄉 – 澳門，並開展了其法律專業的職業生涯。身為一名律師的她，除了勞工法之外，其領域亦包括家庭法、繼承法和移民法。

巴慧雅因其身為澳門人而自豪，她對澳門的美食和傳統有着無比的熱情，這些都是承傳自其父母和祖父母

為了確保這些文化根源不被遺忘，代代相傳，只要有機會，她就會寫下從她祖母和母親承傳下來的食譜，以讓她的女兒們能夠延續這些根源。

Vera Bastos, tal como os seus pais, é natural de Macau.  Contudo, enquanto que dos seus avós paternos herdou raízes espanholas da magnífica cidade de Sevilha, do lado dos seus avós maternos, herdou uma costela do Norte de Portugal, nomeadamente, das belas cidades Invicta (Porto) e Viana do Castelo.

Até aos dezoitos anos Vera viveu em Macau, tendo frequentado o ensino primário na secção Portuguesa do Colégio Santa Rosa de Lima e depois frequentou o ensino preparatório e secundário no Liceu de Macau, a única escola portuguesa então existente naquela época.  E apesar de sempre ter tido uma grande paixão pela música, tendo, por essa razão, sido convidada a cantar em vários eventos públicos e privados, desde cedo sabia que a sua vocação era a advocacia, pois ouvia com frequência que tinha “sempre as respostas na ponta da língua”. 

Findo o ensino secundário, com fé de que Portugal pudesse propiciar uma melhor preparação e formação a nível profissional, bem como, experiência de vida, Vera prosseguiu os seus estudos do ensino superior fora de Macau, tendo-se licenciado em Direito, na Faculdade de Direito da Universidade do Porto (FDUP).  De seguida, inscreveu-se na Ordem dos Advogados Portugueses e fez o estágio de Advocacia num escritório de Advogados situado no Porto.

Passado 16 anos (bem) vividos no Porto, regressou à sua terra Natal, onde iniciou um novo capítulo na sua carreira e actualmente trabalha num dos escritórios de advogados mais conceituados de Macau.   Enquanto Advogada as áreas de intervenção com maior destaque, para além do Direito Laboral, são o Direito da Família, Direito das Sucessões e Imigração.

Vera orgulha-se de ser Macaense e tem uma enorme paixão pela culinária e tradições macaenses que lhe foram transmitidas pelos seus pais e avós.

Para assegurar que estas raízes não sejam esquecidas e que as suas filhas possam dar continuidade, passando de geração a geração, sempre que pode vai anotando as tradições mais memoráveis e as receitas da sua mãe e outras tantas que foram herdadas das suas avós. 

Vera Bastos, like her parents, was born in Macau.   However, while from her paternal grandparents she inherited Spanish roots from the magnificent city of Seville, from her maternal grandparents she inherited a rib from the north of Portugal, namely from the beautiful cities of Invicta (Porto) and Viana do Castelo.

Until she was eighteen, Vera lived in Macau, attending primary school at the Portuguese section of the Santa Rosa de Lima College and then the preparatory and secondary school at the Liceu de Macau, the only Portuguese school at the time.  And although she always had a great passion for music, and for this reason was invited to sing at various public and private events, she knew from an early age that her vocation was law, as she often heard that she always had the answers at her fingertips.  After secondary school, with the faith that Portugal could provide her with better professional preparation and training, as well as life experience, Vera continued her higher education studies outside Macau, graduating in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto (FDUP). She then enrolled in the Portuguese Bar Association and did her traineeship at a law firm in Porto.

After living 16 (great) years in Porto, she returned to her homeland, where she began a new chapter in her career and currently works at one of Macau's most respected law firms. 

As a Lawyer, Vera's main areas of expertise, apart from Labour Law, are Family Law, Inheritance Law and Immigration.

Vera is proud to be Macanese and has an enormous passion for Macanese cuisine and traditions that were passed down to her by her parents and grandparents.

To ensure that these roots are not forgotten and that her daughters can continue them, passing them down from generation to generation, whenever she can she writes down the most memorable traditions and recipes from her mother and many others inherited from her grandmothers.
