高迪龍 Ubaldino Couto

高迪龍博士在澳門一所高等院校任教和從事會展及盛事管理領域的研究。他的研究主要探討節日和盛事的作用及其對社區的影響。另外，高迪龍對僑民節日在鼓勵社會包容方面的作用特別感興趣。作為一名土生，他熱衷於審視自己的雙重文化根源，尤其是在身份認同、美食的作用和慶祝活動方面。

高迪龍是一位土生土長的澳門人，年輕時就讀於澳門的英語學校，然後移居英國多年。他從沒學過葡語，也不說土生土語，但多年來探索自己的文化身份，這讓他對研究土生文化產生了濃厚的興趣。他從小就對土生美食熱愛，進一步增強了這種研究領域的興趣。

高迪龍諾投入的研究越多，他就越意識到土生文化還有很故事西有待發現和記錄。他感到非常幸運，能夠與一群志同道合的年輕人一起推動我們對土生文化的理解和保育。

Ubaldino Couto é professor auxiliar em gestão de eventos numa instituição de ensino superior especializada em turismo e hotelaria em Macau. A sua pesquisa explora principalmente as funções dos eventos e os impactos na sociedade. Ubaldino está particularmente interessado nos papéis dos festivais da diáspora no incentivo à inclusão social. Como um Macaense, Ubaldino tem curiosidade as suas raízes biculturais, particularmente nas áreas da identidade, do papel da alimentação e dos eventos comemorativos.

Ubaldino nasceu e cresceu em Macau, frequentou uma escola secundária de inglês local, depois mudou-se para no Reino Unido. Nunca aprendeu a língua portuguesa nem fala patuá, mas passou muitos anos a explorar a sua identidade cultural, o que o levou a um profundo interesse na pesquisa acadêmica da cultura macaense. Esse interesse foi reforçado por o seu amor pela gastronomia, que desenvolveu desde criança. Ubaldino tem o bóca fino, que acredita ser o resultado de uma juventude muita alegre cercado por gerações de cozinheiros de casa na família.

Quanto mais ele se dedicar à investigação da cultura macaense, mais Ubaldino acha ainda há descobrir e documentar sobre a cultura macaense. Ele sente-se muito sorte por colaboração com um grupo de jovens com ideias semelhantes para promover a nossa compreensão e preservação da cultura macaense!

Dr Ubaldino Couto is an assistant professor in events management at a higher education institutionspecialised in tourism and hospitality in Macao. His research primarily explores the role of events andtheir impacts on the community. Ubaldino is particularly interested in the role of diaspora festivals in encouraging social inclusion. As a Macanese, he is keen to examine his bicultural roots, especially in the areas of identity, role of food and celebratory events. 

Ubaldino was born and bred in Macao, attended a local English school, then moved abroad and spentmany years in the UK. He never learnt Portuguese language nor speak Patuá but spent many yearsexploring his own cultural identity, which led to his profound interest in researching Macanese culture. This interest was further enhanced by his love of food, which he developed from a young age. Ubaldino is bóca fino, which he believes is a result of a happy youth surrounded by generations ofhighly accomplished home chefs in the family like his mámi, vó-vós and ti-tis.

The more he engages in research, the more Ubaldino realises how much more there is still to find out and document about Macanese culture. He feels very fortunate to work with a group of like-minded young individuals to bring advance our understanding and preservation of Macanese culture!
